Alice vs Everything is the Twenty First Century’s response to boy bands. The Newcastle five-piece, formed in 2009,immediately made an impact on the local music scene. The tight knit group’s unique blend of infectious vocal and keyboard hooks complemented by the complex guitar arrangements and the crushing rhythm section make up the sound that is Alice vs Everything. In August 2010, Alice released their well received debut EP, “Alice vs Everything…Even Octopi”, spawning an East Coast tour and airplay on a number of radio stations. The EP delivered five fist pumpin’ party anthems and lyrically delves into all the pressing issues; girls, footy, flat screen teles and power tools. Alice headed back into the studio in November 2010, pressured by their rapidly growing fan base, to capture some of their onstage irreverence with a humorous three track Christmas release. All three the tracks are available for free download. 2011 saw “Alice” take their tongue in cheek antics on the road. The five piece is continually refining their sound and evolving their stage show. They were recognized for their hard work and determination by scoring Newcastle’s local support act for international touring band from the USA, Lydia, during their Australian Tour. Over the last year Alice vs Everything has been writing new material and is currently working on pre production for their eagerly anticipated second EP. The new EP is tentatively named “… Even Norwegian Ridgebacks”. Expect to see Mitch, Ben, Ty, Matt and Josh’s jumbo sized poster blue tacked to your daughter’s bedroom wall very soon.
