Bio

Alie Pickin's music falls somewhere between the conventions of pop, uncertainty of jazz and the heart wrenching honesty of blues. She writes memorable melodies that harmoniously carry intriguing lyrics over a deep and captivating voice. As a listener, you have no choice but to become mesmerized by her. ‘You create such a sense of character and drama when you perform, that as soon as you opened your mouth and started singing, I was right there with you…’ – Tony Floyd. ‘Alie Pickin writes in a language that is so recognizably her own, the ideas she creates…this world of wine and bad boys…’ - Greg Arnold. You can find Alie out on a full moon, casting spells and dancing until the early morning hours. She’s here to break your heart.

Such a sexy/sassy/sweet tune! beautiful jazzy tones a'flowin from Alie and Vyvy mixing into a tasty cake with pleasantly ominous decoration by the guitars, bass and subtle as all hell drums. Saxaphone shreds a tone never heard by the human ear yet also delicately dances around the melodies with such fine elegance. Takes me to a strange place- slightly dark, slightly evil, slighty saddening...
