Bio

Alisha Todd prefers the slow burn while she builds her reputation as a multi-instrumentalist who’s passion lies in encasing emotional nuggets of wisdom inside intricately thoughtful and moving landscapes of sound.

Her evolving Indie Folk sound dances with the best parts of a 90’s pop song, a real dedication to the craft of story telling in this rapid-fire modern world.

From her humble beginnings being raised on country and 90’s pop in small town Gympie to European explorations of getting lost to be found, Alisha’s music too has travelled and evolved in time to be the inspiring nuggets of unconditional encouragement needed while on the endless pursuit of happiness. She draws inspiration from travel and change; the separation from the expectation of who you were and the release from these shackles on the human psyche. “When you allow yourself to just be, the sky is not the limit, it’s the borders of your mind”.

A string of releases from 2019 onwards include her popular tracks 'Chaos', a synth driven lament for the land and a complicated political system, and 'If You Wanna', an upbeat banger to inspire you to move towards what you envisage your dream life to be. Music is her vehicle for finding human connection - writing about it and making it both in the flesh and in the virtual world.

You can find her making music with other musical projects, Volcanic Lovers and soon to be released Geniie Boy, as well as playing much-loved Australian music and arts festivals like Caloundra Music Festival, Bello Winter Music and Mullum Music Festival.

Woah, this is a special one! Love how Alisha has followed her gut on this one, never holding back on her instincts to let a little loose and give this track a compelling personality.

there's a beautiful, picturesque energy that not only emanates from your music but also sticks with you long after. memorable and magical stuff, Alisha.

That chorus is brimming with life and buoyancy. Lovely aura all through this track.
