Bio

Renowned for her unwavering devotion to self love, she pours honey on the wounds of the spirit, and fuel on the fire of the heart. She invites you into deep intimacy with Life through her signature blend of R&B, Soul and Hip Hop.

ALPHAMAMA stands for women, beauty and full self-expression. A powerful priestess of the feminine, she embodies the magic that happens when fierceness and vulnerability harmonise.

Fresh and ancient, her live shows push the boundaries of the music industry and invite rare, memorable, interactive moments with her audience. ALPHAMAMA merges ceremony with song, to return audiences to intrinsic cosmic beauty.

Her album ‘Oil & Water’ (2018) saw immediate adds to Spotify playlists seeing over 270k streams. Radio play on Triple J, Double J, FBi, Triple J Unearthed, The Edge 96.1 and national community radio. Off the back of this release, ALPHAMAMA sold out an East Coast tour.

With a formidable repertoire of talent and unrivalled versatility, she has become an asset to the industry and to the Australian hip hop scene. She has worked with peers and icons such as Salt N Pepa, Thundamentals & Tuka, Jean Grae, Dead Prez, L-Fresh The Lion, Watussi, Electric Empire, NGAIIRE, Jessica Mauboy, Reece Mastin, True Vibenation, Milan Ring, Nardean and Set Mo (to name a few). She has also been mentoring young female artists and developing their talent for over 4 years through her label, God Queen.

Her debut EP released through Creative Vibes in 2011 was described by press as ‘Feminist Funk’ and she has since held a reputation as a 'feminist icon' in the Australian music scene (Purple Sneakers). In 2012 she released a full length album to a capacity room at Oxford Arts Factory. After a brief signing to Universal Records, she left to tour independently throughout Australia, Asia, Germany and USA in 2014-2015 before coming home to Australia.

Alongside the release of two new singles as she tours the country with TUKA in November, she continues to cultivate a strong online community who follow her empowering journey of healing, self love and mysticism.

ALPHAMAMA has recently recorded a 17 track album in New Orleans titled HoneyFire, set for release in 2020.

"...With the vigorous commanding energy and charisma of ten Beyoncés rolled into one... her presence on stage was magnetic and electrifying" - Tanya Bonnie Rae (themusic.com.au)

“The girl has charm and presence and style and charisma. Her voice and her personality fill the room. The songs have depth and the delivery oozes soul. Alphamama combines a raw, powerful sexuality with a smart, commanding toughness… She is going to explode and you’ll have to sell a child to get a ticket to see her. My advice is to get a ticket now while you still have the chance." - Benjamin (AMNPLIFY)

"She’s hip, she’s strong, she’s got one hell of a voice. ALPHAMAMA prizes creative expression over digestibility and injects much-needed passion into music." - Antigone Anagnostellis (Purple Sneakers)

This absolutely slaps. Your voice always kills me. I adored 3 X 11 but I think I might love hearing you in this ultra-modern pop context even more.

I remember seeing ALPHAMAMA playing live in Sydney and being completely mesmerised, it's been a real journey watching the progression of this artists, and she continues to mesmerise with her music.

ALPHAMAMA shifting gears with this latest one. Recent track 3 X 11 was on the hip hop / R&B tip but this one sees the Sydney talent take control of the dancefloor. Lead vocal is still soulful as but it's jolted about with that thudding bass.
