Bio

Melbourne's AM Reruns (formerly Lip Sync Chicks) present "Thrill Me", the second single to be lifted from their debut LP, due August 2019. A pounding piece of Californian power pop with a dose of romantic introspection and an irresistible chorus: "Thrill Me" has been a highlight of the band's live shows since its introduction into the set in mid-2018. The single and upcoming album were recorded and mixed by Robert Muinos (Saskwatch, Little May) and mastered by John Davis at Metropolis Studios, London.

To mark the release of "Thrill Me", AM Reruns are playing a residency at the Tote Hotel Front Bar every Thursday in March.

AM Reruns formed in December 2016 to play a reduced, stylish brand of guitar music, bringing back snappy intros and songs structured like 1960s 45rpm singles. The result is an idiosyncratic take on '70s LA punk rock with a sliver of Northern England drama. Their recent 7" record "Looking For A Victim" (2018) received airplay on RRR and PBS, making the cut for Mixing Up The Medicine's 'Best of 2018' program, and in 2019 made the playlist for the cult Los Angeles radio show 'Go Deep With Bruce Rave.' AM Reruns are Andy Campbell on guitar and voice (best known as guitarist with Melbourne staples Jim Lawrie, Baby Blue and Box Rockets) and Daniel Parsons-Jones on the bass guitar and BVs, joined by Shauna Boyle on the drums (from iconoclastic punk rock group Cable Ties, and Jackson Reid Briggs & The Heaters).

This tune makes me want to do the Elaine dance in the sunshine. Sweet times.

it's a cruisy, frayed one and i'm pretty chuffed sipping my beer in the sun to this.

Love the rocky vibe of this tune, it's so great! if you can see this band live I'd highly recommend it, Andy Campbell playing live is like watching a bird in paradise.
