Amberdeen are an independent, four piece, acoustic/indie/punk band out of Sydney, NSW. Amberdeen mix and experiment with both indie and punk genres. With comparisons to Anti-Flag, Hot Hot Heat and Kisschasy (killyourstereo.com), Amberdeen are different to anything else you’ve heard. By using both electric and acoustic guitars they have captured a sound that is truly unique. In October Amberdeen independently recorded and distributed their debut EP titled “Not Forgotten Freedom”. The first track “Stay Where You Are” was instantly added to rotation of FBi 94.5 and graced the airwaves of Triple J (SFL), SWR, B Rock (Bathurst) and other community stations. The indie rock track was so infectious that it was chosen out of thousands by Sony reps as one of ten Sony BMG ‘Hottest Picks’ in the currently running ‘Uncharted’ Competition.
