Bio

David Truong aka Ambition Road is a totally blind singer song writer and keyboard / piano player originally from Vietnam but now making his home in Brisbane Queensland Australia.

During his teenage years, David started focusing on his singing, song writing and keyboard / Piano Playing. At the same time he was also introduced to the joys of playing sport. With commitment pressures being stretched at that time, He made the hard decision to take up sport seriously, and try to see how far he could go.

A few years ago, it became apparent that David's time playing competitive sport was drawing to a close, and therefore he was able to begin focusing on his original life passion - his singing, song writing and keyboard playing once again.

David wrote a number of songs and produced a few home recordings with himself on vocals and keyboards. David was keen to share these recordings with the public to gauge how his music would be received, and so he decided to create an online music page through a streaming service called SoundCloud.

David received an overwhelming and encouraging amount of positive feedback to his music, so in early 2014 David started attending weekly singing workshops through Access Arts to develop his vocal and collaborative skills. These singing workshops gave David the opportunity to contribute 2 of his original songs ("don't Bite The Hand" and "Wild Wind" as well as performing them with the Access Arts Singers Choir at a number of events such as:
o Access Arts Community Showcase event at Windsor Hall, Windsor Brisbane on 14 June 2014.
o Fete de la Musique Festival Event St. John's Cathedral, Brisbane on 21 June 2014.

It was through these singing workshops that the facilitator, Annie Peterson encouraged David to pursue his own music project. Annie believed David's songs were worth developing, recording and showcasing to the public. So in 2015, David decided to go solo and Perform under his stage name Ambition Road. His solo music project Ambition Road focuses on bringing to life his original music in a Keyboard driven, Acoustic, Reflective, Folk/Soft-Rock style.

After creating a facebook page to promote his Ambition Road project:
http://www.facebook.com/davidtmusic2014David was lucky enough to be invited to appear on the 4ZZZ FolkBuddies show to perform one of his original songs and to talk
about his music journey.

In 2016, Ambition Road headed into Hunting Ground Studios to record their first album with renowned recording engineer Guy Webster. On 04 June of that year, Ambition Road's debut album "Happy Laughter" was released.

In 2018, Ambition Road decided to head back into the studios to record their second album at Tiny Dream Studios with recording engineer extraordinaire Tony Dean at the helm.

Currently Ambition Road are recording a bunch of new songs and the release of their new album "Tainted Glasses" is scheduled to be released in 2020.
