Bio

I started playing guitar when I was in high school. Originally the guitar we bought was for my brother for a birthday gift, but in the end my father and I picked it up as well. I've never done lessons as such, I just picked up what I wanted to learn. After a while copying other musicians got old! So I started writing my own music. People ask what genre of music I play and it's hard to come up with a straight one word label, so I would tend to say that my music is a combination of modern folk and alternative acoustic. I like the feeling of evolving through music and its also a release from my everyday life. The best way I find to deal with a problem I'm having is to write a song about it and I feel like it resolves the issue. My musical inspirations include Angus&Julia Stone, Boy&Bear, Mumford&Sons, Belle and Sebastian, Florence and the Machine, Lisa Mitchell and Aimee Man- to name a few. To me, music is mostly about a feeling or a vibe and I really respect and admire my musical influence for giving me something to feel, almost like I can chose what I want to feel by who I chose to listen to at the time. My goal is to improve and gain more experience. I want to learn more about music and more about what I can achieve with my voice and my guitar.

I like this. Nice tone in the vocal. And cute concept for a song (says the girl with a Nord stage 2 keyboard in her office as she writes this...).
