At the heart of Sydney songstress Amy Rose’s graceful, electronic, pop lays her intimate and deeply emotive voice. Channeling indie charm-merchants like Feist, Florence and Imogen Heap, Amy weaves a delicate tapestry of lush organic music interwoven with digital effects, spawning captivating melodies and ethereal post-folk soundscapes. Having escaped a religious cult with her family in Queensland, Amy has been performing since she was a child with family, friends and many other musicians. Her unique upbringing had a distinct impact on her music, leading to the recording of her first solo EP as a teenager in 2005. A little experimentation with a glockenspiel from a local music store sparked the creation ‘Peel’, the title track of Amy’s EP, released in mid 2012.
