ANCIENT. MAAAAAAN… The words conjure images of an ugly, hunched over, primitive and hairy people with faces that stare bewildered up to the night sky. Who am I? Why am I here? Where is my leather loin cloth? This scenario is eerily similar to that of four (somewhat young) men, who have each been separately mumbling these exact same words since their early teens. The lads have since reflected that the only time their brains weren't boggling, was when they had instrument in hand grinding out the music from within their hearts. It wasn't always successful, but it was always great fucking fun. It was after years of individual genre-hopping, bong smashing, monkey-slapping madness, when in early 2002 guitarist and vocalist Mike Miller and drummer Dario Amati (both formerly of Willis' Afro) approached bassist Anton Jarrett (The Fangs) and guitarist Justin Dare (Roobenkarta) to combine their passion of creating and performing music.
