After the Rain's unique style of folk-rock is heavily influenced by the climate and culture of the Northern Territory, and attracts a broad audience of young and old. Strong vocals and bittersweet lyrics combine with lilting harmonies on viola, mandolin and guitar to produce a sound which truly takes listeners on a journey from the desert to the sea. Songwriter Anna Boustead was listed by AU Review as one of the '10 NT Artists to Watch in 2014' for her ‘lovely lyrics and tunes’, a finalist in the 2014 Telstra Road to Discovery NT Heat and was a 2015 NT Song of the Year finalist for the song, ‘Consumer Junkie’, co-written with Tim Birch. Anna Boustead and After the Rain features renowned violist Micha Jackson, guitarist Brad Ermel, drummer Mark Smith and bassist Steve Kelk.
