Artist:Anna Kirkman

At 18 years old, it is safe to say that Anna has been making music her whole life. Anna grew up surrounded by creative and musical influences from her parents and three siblings and has probably been singing longer than she has been talking. She started playing piano at age 4, taught herself the guitar at 12 and has discovered a love for many other instruments along the way. At the mere age of 6 years old, Anna composed her first song entitled "Mosquitoes In My Bed" and her songwriting skills have been growing and evolving ever since. Anna was awarded the Vice President's Trophy at Queensland Show Choir's President's Trophy Night in 2012 and 2013. She has placed in the Australian Society of Music Education's Young Composer's Competition every year since 2011. Anna's earthy vocals were featured in Golden Vessel's premiere single, Stairwell, and after being entered in unearthed in 2013, the track reached 3rd on the electronic charts and received triple j airplay twice.
