Bio

Aphir is the solo electronic project of songwriter/producer/engineer, Becki Whitton.

As Aphir, Becki has performed her vocally-driven electronic pop locally and internationally, including performances in England, Austria, and at Berlin’s 2016 Music Tech Fest.

Her 2017 LP, Twin Earth, saw her heralded as one of ‘Australia’s new wave of female electronic innovators’ by Double J’s Tim Shiel, and she has since supported much-loved Australian artists such as Kllo, Japanese Wallpaper, and Banoffee, as well as receiving an Australian Women In Music Award nomination for studio engineering in 2018.

Name another act making music in the same audio stratosphere as Aphir in this country. Can't be done, she's that one off act.

Becki aka Aphir has a rare talent for keeping you guessing with every song - replete with meticulously crafted electronic textures and thrumming movements - yet she delivers it in a way that feels like she's letting only you in on a really good secret.
