APTS (pronounced “Apartments”) is a bubbling maximalist stockpot of electronica, psych-rock, soul and pop comprised of Mike Watson (guitarist with international indie juggernauts WHARVES) and Angus Fitz-Bugden (aka. tongue-in-cheek emo-funkster Art Pleasley). As their name might suggest, this pair of North Coast producers spend a lot of time apart yet whenever they reconvene, their independently impressive and ever evolving musicalities fuse into a mighty sound that is futuristic, nostalgic, synthetic and organic all at the same time. Refusing to conform to time or geography, their forthcoming single GAME PLAN was completed with both members at opposite ends of the globe amidst other projects and still manages to sound effortlessly cohesive. As electrifying onstage as they are meticulous in the studio, their combined four decades of dedication to their craft allows APTS to skip across genres and emotions easily and take listeners on an unparalleled trip through the cosmos of music.
