Artist:THE ASMATICS

The Asmatics started a few years ago, jamming in the back shed. Instead of learning some of their favourite songs, they simply wrote their own imitations, which often fly far from the nest. You can find influences in their lyrics and song titles, eg. Black Stripes/White Keys, which has lyrics based on a Be Your Own Pet film clip. The Asmatics have been recording themselves for a while now, and are slowly building up their engineering skills. Most recently Marty built a studio in his Tassie house, which serves as a good holiday for the other Melbourne based members. Sonically, The Asmatics are a blues influenced indie garage rock, who try to as enjoyable to listen to as possible.
