ATHRON IS AN AUSTRALIAN SINGER-SONGWRITER BASED IN SYDNEY, MELBOURNE, AND BALI, PERFORMING OVER 200 SHOWS A YEAR, COLLABORATING AND RECORDING WITH VARIOUS PROJECTS AND TOURING ANNUALLY THROUGHOUT SE ASIA, AUSTRALIA, JAPAN, AND THE USA. Over a decade ago, Athron released his debut album ‘Taming Butterflies’ (Gigpiglet Productions/ Inertia), capturing his acoustic sound, along with the strings, horns, percussion, and female harmonies that came to symbolize his live performances. Australia’s first official carbon neutral album release, it was well-received as Athron shared its melodic storytelling along Australia’s east coast, touring with Australian band Pinky Beecroft and the White Russians. Athron then journeyed to the island of Bali in Indonesia and despite a lifetime of changing backgrounds, his foreground focus remained the same; music, writing, gigging.
