Bio

Hailing from the western hinterlands of one of Australia’s most notorious and culturally diverse cities, the Gold Coast, Atticus Chimps are a rock & roll juggernaut that’s making a lot of noise. Tearing down the boundaries of what is possible as a two-piece band, Sam and Daniel are bursting at the seam with passion and intensity.

They perform heavy rock anthems that convey a message of heartbreak, self-actualization, dissatisfaction with authority and alienation from society. Their thunderous riffs, raspy vocals and upbeat energy have sent chills through crowds abound and spectators are routinely captivated by their sound. Atticus Chimps are a nuke that's detonating and the after-shock will be felt for years to come.

Atticus Chimps have supported astablished acts such as Butterfingers, The Chats, The Dead Love, Baltimore Gun Club, Horace Bones, Miniskirt, Birdhouse and Dollar Bill Murrays.

"The sunshine states best kept alt-rock secret" - Tiana Speter, The Soundcheck
"The best f*cking band I've heard in years" - Daimon Motbey, Crooked Teeth
"There is some red-hot talent coming out of the Gold Coast" - Tammie Bennet, Wedge Head Events

there's muscle and crunch to this rock n roll that will have the people in the front row moshing hard.

From what I've read, these two already pride themselves on their capacity to have this sort of sonic output as only a two piece and that's warranted, in my opinion. Big, crunching riffs are full of power and Sam knows just the right range for his vocal.
