Bio

Blending alternative writing roots with spacious synths, Austen's hook-heavy pop plays between introspective and surreal. Her first two independent single releases saw her take to the stage in support of electro pop mainstays Nicole Millar, KLP, Running Touch, Just A Gent, Col3trane, featuring with collaborator Kuren at Splendour in the Grass, and joining The Kite String Tangle as support on his national album tour.

Earning herself a place in various "Artists To Watch" lists (inthemix, Pilerats, Purple Sneakers) and a premiere on Red Bull Music, her Spotify discography has amassed well over half a million plays and seen the young artist work with some of Australia’s biggest names in electronic pop. With two acclaimed singles, multiple collaborations, and national tours under her belt already, Austen is one of the most promising rising voices of her kind.

Seriously catchy chorus and you have such a pretty voice! I know what I'm going to be humming for the rest of the day..

We Austen followers call ourselves AuSTANS and once again she's rewarded our devotion with a new anthem. I really like the feel of this track - it's like some evocative Eastern European pop song with equal parts emotion and drama.

Like Decs and Tommy, I've given it a few listens too. You're onto a winner.
