Bio

Brisbane based Avaberée (aye-va-ber-ee) has an evolving, natural sound. Members Genevieve, Aimee and Irena’s personal growth has organically lead to musical development and experimentation - new instruments, new sounds and new styles. The core of the band remains firm with their harmony focused sound and heartfelt lyrics layered over a tapestry of beats, bass and electronic elements.

Bursting on the local and national independent music scene with their debut single ‘Lover of mine’, the ladies captured the ears of Triple J, community radio and a horde of new fans. Avaberée have since toured the east coast of Australia multiple times and have supported many nationally and internationally recognised artists, including Matt Corby, Emma Louise, Will and The People, Timberwolf and Stu Larson.

The past year has seen Avaberée venture with purpose to incorporate new musical influences. They spent much of 2014 evolving their sound, writing new material and travelling to Los Angeles to work with upcoming producer Tommy English (Ladyhawke, Borns). The product of this trip and transformation is their forth coming EP, In Your Arms I Found My Secrets.

‘Can’t Get You Off My Mind’ – the first single pulled from the upcoming EP, was met with critical acclaim, receiving spins on Triple J, with the accompanying video added to rotation on rage, and premiered exclusively online through
Frankie Magazine Australia and internationally on US pop culture website Entertainment Weekly to over 3.1 Million followers.

To celebrate their second single from the EP, ‘Doubt’ the girls’ are hitting the road for a 10 show tour gracing towns from Brisbane through to Adelaide and finishing off at Bigsound 2015.

In Your Arms I Found My Secrets will be available digitally in Australia via Other People Records September 1.

I don't think I'll ever get tired of the precise, ping-ponging voices of Avaberee.
