‘AYA J’ is an Electronic/Indie Pop group from the Northern Rivers NSW/Southern Gold Coast. They released their debut single ‘Layla’ In July 2020, and their debut EP ‘Tenth Street’ in December 2020, with internationally acclaimed producer/engineer Joachim Mueller (The Weather Girls, The Stafford Brothers, Potbelleez, Vanessa Amarosi, Timberland, Neyo, Timmy Trumpet).

‘AYA J’ is made up of Angus Field, Gumbaynggirr artist (vocals, guitar, keys), and Sam Miller (drums/drum pad). Together, they prescribe the soulful and captivating progressive pop act, AYA J.

‘AYA J’ was selected as the artist for X-Change Songs Initiative in Sydney by Curator Lynley White Smith (Operations Manager, Studios 301), to write new music collaboratively, and showcase alongside rising talents ANGE, and ETHAN, and record with ARIA recording and mix engineer, Tom Garnett at the prestige Studios 301 (Peking Duk, DVNA, Travis Scott, Charli XCX, Wolfmother, Ty Dolla $ign).

2021 has AJA J touring their EP ‘Tenth Street’ and releasing fresh new music with Joachim Mueller.

On an average day, you’ll find AYA J crafting new sounds and lyrics, surfing at Palmy or dancing horrendously to a few of their idol pop artists Lauv, LANY, Mia Rodriguez, Haden James, Running Touch, Peking Duk, Vera Blue, and Japanese Wallpaper.
