Bio

Rowdy, infectious & loud are just a few words to describe Brisbane’s latest powerhouse. The four piece are known for their bluesy & chaotic garage rock and have cemented themselves as the band to watch in the Brisbane music scene.

The Baby Breaks blend hints of blues, western, rock'n'roll and jazz influences to showcase their shared love of rock music. With a unique blend of saxophone their unmistakable sound has drawn comparisons to The White Stripes, The Strokes and Kings of Leon whilst also taking influence from early Sun Records artists such as Johnny Cash and Elvis.

The 2019 release of their debut EP ‘Powdered Milk Party’ launched The Baby Breaks into the forefront of the Brisbane scene. Their Debut release ‘One Handed Clap’ landed straight onto 4ZZZ rotation whilst follow-up single ‘Bedhead’ dominated Triple J Unearthed, sitting in the Number 1 position on the rock charts for 8 weeks.

Their latest release 'Daylight Saver' blends elements of the above influences now with a more mature sound, creating a style that the band has affectionately coined Cactus Rock.

"The Baby Breaks new single One Handed Clap is garage rock bliss, with a killer saxophone, grungy vocals and infectious melodies.” (Happy Mag 2019)

“the band finds a sweet spot between the ferocity of Queens of the Stone Age and Cage The Elephant, teed with the intelligent catchiness of The Strokes.” (Music is my Muse 2020

Yes!

LOVE THIS ENERGY

Weirdly, reminds me of the Bombay Royale - I think it's the heavy guitars and dramatic horns. You take us on an epic journey - FAB!

this track is shorter than four minutes long, but it feels like an epic. i love that you just haven't held back here - so much going on!
