THE BAMBUSEAE RHYTHM SECTION
The Bambuseae Rhythm Section (pronounced Bam-Boo-See-Ay) are a six-piece groove-based band hailing from Fremantle, Western Australia. They combine their individual musical influences to deliver a fusion of original funk, rhythm & blues, rock & roll, psychedelic, groove-based music. Their songs are laced with catchy hooks and solid percussive rhythms designed for dancing your worries into oblivion.
Armed with their motto, "The People Must Dance”, this energetic act is true to their word, stirring up the local music scene with their upbeat and memorable live shows by providing music that is impossible to sit still to.

In June 2019, The Bambuseae Rhythm Section released their highly anticipated track "Slinky Begonia" which debuted at #4 on the Triple J Unearthed Roots charts and #10 on the AMRAP Metro charts within the first week of its release. Inheriting new band members in the past 12 months, The Bambuseae Rhythm Section's musical line-up is on top of the musical game. Consisting of guitars, vocals, keys, violin, trumpet, bass and drums, each of the band's members hold their own musical accolades within the Western Australian and Australian music scene.

The Bambuseae Rhythm section have a diverse range of shows announced for 2020 including support for national act Bootleg Rascals, Nannup Music Festival 2020 and Karridale Circus Festival 2020. They have previously performed at some of Western Australia’s premier festivals and events such as Blues at Bridgetown '19, Western Australian Circus Festival '19, Joondalup Festival '19, Falls Festival ’18, Fairbridge Festival ’17 and Fremantle Folk Festival ‘17 in addition to having performed alongside acts such as The Cat Empire, Diesel, The Original Chicago Blues All Stars and Dan Sultan.

this is so transportive. to what year or destination? I'm not sure. all I know is that the vastness and tranquillity of this gem had me feeling far from my kitchen bench for a solid five minutes.

Dynamically this tune is so exciting. I love all the little elements here and there that give character to the verses outside of the terrific vocals. It's a trip that is dark, brooding, conflicted and catastrophically fantastic.
