After years in the Manchester and London music scenes Andy arrived in Australia looking for a new musical direction. Lou, after working in the Australian and Japanese scenes was also looking to change her sound and focus. The pair came together after an unscheduled live performance by Lou at a Gold Coast Club in 2010. The short 2 min performance led to a 5 year pursuit by Andy to find a way they could work together. The result of the pursuit became Banks of the Beautiful. ​ Blending heartfelt melodies and lyrics, with loops, beats, electronica and live instruments, the Banks of the Beautiful sound is unique.
