Spawned on election night in 2012, Bansheeland is the brain fetus of Mary Shannon (Meres), developed in a mist of rage due to the rise of the Abbott Era. A brooding stoner aesthetic meets lush guitar lines, driving and harmonic vocals deliver biting social commentary and an insiders view of the paranoid mind. They’ve landed several support slots with national and international acts including Against Me!, Californian neo-punk duo, The Garden and local legends like Spiderbait, Dallas Frasca, Wet Lips and Camp Cope.
