Bio

After almost 12 months of partial hibernation, playing select supports with bands like The Peep Tempel, Bad//Dreems, Harts and Dune Rats, Adelaide's Battlehounds are finally releasing their debut EP Damn Demons on April 28th through Mirador Records.

Choosing to record again with John McNichol at Twin Earth studios in Adelaide, the EP was mixed by good friend Ali Wells at Grinch Door Records (Bad//Dreems, West Thebarton Brothel Party), with the final touches being added by Joseph Carra (King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, The Peep Tempel, Bloc Party).

Uncompromising from start to finish and slathered in grimy guitars, gristle and beer soaked vocals – Damn Demons is what will be hopefully the first in a long list of extended releases from Battlehounds, and one that looks to cement the band as one of the great up and coming Australian guitar acts.

The five track EP is lead by single Night Crawl, a three and a bit minute, hook riddled, driving rock and roll juggernaut that recalls bad decisions and questionable company.

To celebrate the release of Damn Demons Battlehounds will be playing the following shows.

4th of May - Frankie's Pizza - Sydney w/The Tommyhawks
5th of May - Rad Bar - Wollongong w/The Cherry Dolls

11th of May - The Brunswick - Melbourne w/Lorikeet, Dead End + Guests
13th of May - The Exeter Beer Garden - Adelaide w/Young Offenders

Damn Demons is out April 28th through Mirador Records.

Adelaide is churning out some great rock action at the moment. Add this Battlehounds song to the list.

Oooof! This one tears across the bitumen like a getaway car filled with a bag of cash and the blue flavour energy drinks. What is blue anyway? It's not blueberry. Makes you think, hey.

Battlehounds keep getting better with each release. This is some exciting, high-adrenaline rock'n'roll.
