Bio
Melbourne's "up and coming blues-soul star" - Beat Magazine Bee Virginia adds a third chapter to her formative story, offering new single 'You're A Star' Set to drop on the 18th of September.
Once again Virginia has offered a warm hybrid of neo-soul and jazz-infused R&B, and worked with producer David M. Turner (Amy Shark, Dan Sultan) to unveil something unabashedly sensual, romantic and more intimate than previous singles, 'What Are You Doing To Me?' and her unforgettable debut 'Won't You'.
"It's about being in love, and that euphoric, uplifting belief and feeling that only comes from true love. It's a sensual journey, a lot like an afternoon delight filled with magic and total appreciation of someone through the exploration of the senses."
Now operating under her own name after a stint under moniker 'Lover', Virginia promises something more lyrically honest and more organic in execution and, so far, it has proven fruitful. Sydney's Andy Bull spotted her online and immediately offered 'Won't You' a remix. The result,"... a housey poolside jam", showing the blatant diversity and talent of both artists. Beyond that, the music world is listening and poised for what's to come.

it feels playful but also perfectly serious at the same time. there's a dusty vinyl feel to it as well.

There's this sticky, soulful vibe to this track which makes it hard shake off. Best not to resist and just go with the invitation to bop.

Demonstrating that you need only find the right turn of phrase to build a song around. A simple concept, delivered sweetly.
