Bio

Bee Virginia is a Melbourne based singer/songwriter serving up music that’ll beckon you like a hot morning coffee.

Bee sets the listener on an emotional trip that uplifts and soothes the soul with a warming vocal elixir of jazz infused R&B with top notes of Blues and Neo-Soul. Formerly performing under her more notable moniker Lover, she garnered significant attention in both Melbourne and international music circuits with her debut release “Blood”. Her last release “What Does it Take” a collaboration with beat-maker Falir premiered on Triple JJJ’s Home and Hosed.

Anticipation is high for her upcoming new release “Won’t You” (Produced by David Turner).

Bee describes the single as a farewell to her days as Lover. Still offering Lover’s tantalising mix of signature intricate beats, rich vocals and electronic vibes “Won’t You” is Bee’s most uplifting and energising song yet. The catchy new track oozes with lust and flirtation and will be the perfect soundtrack to bring listeners out of the winter blues and into warmer, easier days.

it feels playful but also perfectly serious at the same time. there's a dusty vinyl feel to it as well.

There's this sticky, soulful vibe to this track which makes it hard shake off. Best not to resist and just go with the invitation to bop.

Demonstrating that you need only find the right turn of phrase to build a song around. A simple concept, delivered sweetly.
