Benjamin Provest is a 21-year-old musician from Australia, currently studying at Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA. He is majoring in Contemporary Writing and Production and is a singer, guitarist, and pianist. Upon graduating from high school in 2012, he was offered a Creative Scholarship to study at The Victorian College of The Arts, University of Melbourne, majoring in Contemporary Music Performance.
During his time in Australia he performed regularly with various bands and as a solo artist at live music venues, corporate hotels and private functions. Notable performances include Metricon Stadium as the half time entertainment, Bond University as a support act for The Bamboos, The Sheritan Mirage Hotel, The Marriott, and Cartier Jewelry.
Ben was the recipient of the Bessie Robson Music Scholarship, allowing him to reside at Ormond College (Australia’s oldest residential hall) during his undergraduate degree. In July 2015 Ben received a Global Access scholarship from The University of Melbourne to study at SciencesPo. in Paris. Alongside performances and study, he formed an all student Big Band and Orchestra, performing both original compositions and covers. Ben will continue to perform, write and arrange music in Boston while he completes the next two years of his degree at Berklee College of Music.
