Bio

And Beso Palma is born with his first release ‘Beats Vol. 1: Verano’. The beat tape consists of 6 beats with a variety of different textures and moods, drawing inspiration from the likes of MXXWLL, Tom Misch, Kaytranada and D’Angelo. The beat tape touches on everything from hip-hop and R&B to funk and neo-soul. Despite such a small collection of tunes, the sound of ‘Beats Vol. 1: Verano’ undeniably captures Beso Palma’s unique style and flow for rhythm, melody and musicality.

The release of this EP was a way for Beso to establish and showcase his sound as an artist. This simultaneously captured the attention of several up-and- coming artists in the Australian music scene which inspired him to begin the creation of his upcoming feature EP ‘Beso Bumps’.

“I’ve (Beso) been lucky enough to have connected with some amazing artists for the EP, who are now gaining well-deserved recognition in the Australian music scene.”

‘Better’ is Beso’s latest wompy, groove fuelled R&B track which is the debut single off his upcoming feature EP ‘Beso Bumps’, scheduled for offical release on 30.10.20.

The single kicks off the EP on a more personal note with the feature vocalist as Beso himself touching on a bittersweet end to a relationship. The track focuses on not being ready to give a relationship 100%, which is what every relationship is entitled to. “I (Beso) wanted to capture the feeling of accepting that the timing of the relationship wasn’t right for me and knowing that there was someone ‘better’ out there for that person at that present time. The last thing I wanted to do was resent the relationship”.

The EP, set for release October 2021, features some serious established and up-and-coming talent such as Gia Vorne (TRIPLE J / Like A Version w Taka Perry), Rissa (TRIPLE J), Brekky Boy (Montreux Jazz Festival / International Sofar Sounds feature artist), Blush’ko (TRIPLE J / Majestic Casual), Janeva (The Rubens / TRIPLE J / Majestic Casual) & Mel Blue (Kitsune Feature Artist).

It's like poetry, every element and dynamic you take us through as listeners feel so intimate and intricate. Brilliant and smooth AF.
