The debut album is done. It’s called Youth. It was recorded in a 19th-century church outside of Ballarat in the winter of 2022 with Josh Barber (Gretta Ray) and produced and mixed by the inimitable Jon Low (The National, Taylor Swift, Big Red Machine). The first single, Gold, is a dreamy early morning Mazzy Star-meets-Adrianne Lenker piece of pop. Best Western’s debut album is scheduled for release late 2023.
