Bio

Between You & Me is an Australian punk band - based in Melbourne.

The band formed when frontman Jake Wilson began uploading a series of acoustic songs and covers to YouTube, gaining a local following that only served to further whet his appetite for musical endeavor. Reaching out to Jake, Between You & Me was formed and the band set about forging their own sound out of their wide-ranging collective influences.

The band drew the attention of the legendary Hopeless Records, and when the band released their first single with the label—“Overthinking” in the summer of 2017—the impact was immediate. The video has already clocked a million views on YouTube alone.

Their debut album 'Everything Is Temporary' was recorded at Sydney’s Electric Sun studios with producer Stevie Knight (Tonight Alive, With Confidence, Stand Atlantic) in July 2018. The debut LP bristling with a confidence, wisdom and musicality that belies the band’s years. The band went on to tour Australia and Japan on their first headline run, gaining a strong following both locally and internationally.

The band has toured Australia with other well-known bands such as Tonight Alive, The Maine, Waterparks, Neck Deep, Stand Atlantic and Yours Truly. 2018/19 saw the band head out on a number of international tours, including three North American tours, two UK tours and a headline tour of Europe following their performance at the coveted Slam Dunk Festival.

After a challenging period following the pandemic, BYAM return with their latest single 'Supervillain'. Expect to be hearing more from them in 2021.

it's the kind of pop punk split i like where there's hooks aplenty but it doesn't sound like you're trying to be something your not.
