Melbourne indie rockers Big League have steadily grown their reputation with a prolific number of releases and head turning live shows over the last two years. Since the release of their debut album 'I Thought Thunderbolt', Big League, led by husband and wife duo Travis & Marie Velthoven, have enjoyed critical acclaim from media outlets such as Beat, The Music and Happy Mag, along with sustained airplay on ABC's Rage, MTV Aus/NZ, and community radio both in their home town of Melbourne and interstate. Big League were chosen to showcase at SXSW 2018 in Austin, Texas, a challenge they gladly accepted, turning the trip into a 10 date US tour. The band won over American audiences with their performances at official Sounds Australia & SXSW showcases, followed by a string of west coast dates stretching from Seattle to LA, with radio appearances and live recording sessions along the way. Big League's new single 'Olympic Mystery' is the first taste of their sophomore album, due out in 2019. It maintains the lo-fi catchiness of previous releases, while demonstrating Travis Velthoven's ambition to expand their sound through synths, vocal effects, and alternative guitar tunings.
