Billy Buttons is a DJ, singer, actor and dancer currently based in Sydney Australia. He was born in the British Virgin Islands, where as a youth his exceptional piano skills were noted by a travelling Lutheran missionary who took him to study classical music under the tutelage of the famed Professor Von Strapurg at Vienna's Spiegel College Akadamie. He was expelled from the school following an affair with the ground's pool cleaner and subsequently travelled to Paris at the age of 18 on a scholarship to attend the Versailles Academy of Dance, majoring in interpretative funk and ballet. It was at this time the burgeoning Paris disco scene drew him in and he began spinning records under the name DJ Bonbon at the famous Paris nightclub "L'Inferno". After performing at many of Paris' top gay bars, he was approached to play live keyboards in emerging Marais band "le Mirage" which subsequently was runner up in the 1994 Eurovision song contest.
