Bird Flies High are a downtempo, trip-hop band from Queensland, Australia, formed in 2011, comprising of Bird (Vocals/ Lyricist/ Keys/ Flute) and Peaky ( Saxaphone / Beats/ Production) Although initially placed in the down-tempo, trip-hop genre, Bird Flies High quickly expanded their sound to the point where they could no longer be classified so easily.Their music style also sways between elements of funk, jazz, blues, classical and cinematic. Bird Flies High's creative blend of LIVE instruments accompanied by a mixture of drum n bass, downtempo, trip-hop inspired beats results in a unique fusion of dark atmospheric overtones, soulful and often symphonic in nature.
