Black as Blue have been touting their unique brand of intelligent, modern alternative rock since 2007. Small-town confines have ensured that this quartet honed their craft and defined their sound way before their move to Brisbane in mid 2011. Diverse influences and a desire to defy conventions continue to classify Black as Blue as one of the standout bands of the Brisbane scene. Their unique sound, comprising of a love for punk, folk, alt rock, reggae and electronic music has already piqued the curiosity of gig goers, resulting in a fervent, energetic and exciting experience. This ever-evolving live show showcases the soaring vocals of Greg Olley, James Green’s expressive bass, Jack Harvey’s staccato rhythm guitar and Tristan Pabst’s solid, pounding drums.
