Black Stone from the Sun are a two piece garage grunge band hailing from Perth, Western Australia.The duo formed during the winter months of 2012 after singer/guitarist Sean Mackay and drummer Jack Nelson attended High School. After discovering a mutual interest in musical tastes the pair took to Sean's backyard and jammed on some fuzzed out tunes which would eventually become the sound of Black Stone from the Sun.

2015 saw the release of there sophomore Ep "Death Threats and Cigarettes" and first national tour. Singles "Pastel Roses" and "Death Threats and Cigarettes" picking up Airplay on Sydney's Fbi Radio, RTRfm, 4zzz and Triple j.

The guys are currently recording there Debut Album with (The Love Junkies frontman) Mitch McDonald at the iconic Blackbird Studio in Perth. The band will be releasing the album in the beginning months of 2017 and with a new single before the year is out.
