Western Australias Blue Shaddy is a high energy live act who make their audience feel as though they are right there on stage with them. Always festival favourites Blue Shaddy are renowned for squeezing every last drop of energy into every performance. Blue Shaddy is a band with genuine chemistry between its members the fact that half the band are from the same family probably has a lot to do with their musical bond, delivering their music with unpretentious honesty and sheer enjoyment. The Blue Shaddy sound has often been described as modern blues/roots/surf/funk, combining numerous acoustic/electric and lap-slide guitars, groove bass, harmonica, Sri Lankan and Indian percussion and drums. Live highlights being acoustic guitars mimicking didgeridoos, drum and percussion breaks and a solo from one of the worlds fastest harmonica players. Blue Shaddy have consistently performed for the past 10 years both nationally and overseas with some of the highlights being: The West Coast Blues and Roots Festival, 2005/2006. The Bridgetown Blues Festival consecutively for the past 6 years, The UBLUES blues/roots & soul Festival, Singapore 2002 & 2003, The Vintage Blues and Roots Festival, Albany, The Mordiallock Festival Melbourne 2006, The Whale shark Festival, Exmouth 2006. To date Blue Shaddy have three albums independently released and are receiving airplay in 264 countries worldwide through and will be releasing their 4th album late 2006.
