Bio

Oh be a fine girl, kiss me. Too forward an introduction? Perhaps.Well what’s all this about then? I hear you ask. O B A F G K M This is the mnemonic device for remembering the various classifications of stars and their spectra. WTF? ( well there friends) Stars (suns) are classified in order of temperature, M being the coolest and red in colour, O the biggest, brightest and…Blue. Blue Sun. But this is all too scientific and if you dwell on it too long your brain will melt into vampiric slime. So for safety’s sake let’s think of Blue Sun as two cool words to attach to a band that makes noises that are big and bright. How many rolls in a wheel? That’s not important right now, aparently you need to know what Blue Sun is. Concentrate please. Like any good movie or book the story is only the half of it,the characters carry the load and shovel the coal. This story begins with a wandering minstrel, a merchant of song, part hipster part huckster who goes by the handle of Josh Romig (he is only 22 years old, wow!). Somewhere in the bowels of the Melbourne music scene he stumbles across an unlikely lad, a multitasking meerkat with one eye on the road the other on the sky. Shane Reilly. Our two vagrants then leggit post haste to the musical laboratory and aurel preservatory of Roger Bergodaz. Sparks fly, pots boil over and with the injection of rogue percussive DNA from one Pete Marin, the evolution had begun. Am I being too floral here? The purple prose,oh the purple prose! ( Dr Smith) Each of our artful protagonists has achieved much within their own spheres and everything they’ve trod in has been totally walked through the house of this rising Blue Sun. This is the big bang, the enchilada grande’. Now we’re introduced. O B A F G K M. Grocery list; Roger having as well as playing drums for countless acts such as (Jordie Lane, Matt Walker & Kim Deale!!) has engineered and produced recorded works for (Tex Perkins, Gossling, Jordie Lane) *reader gasps* “oh my, how very impressive, I’m impressed” Shane on the other hand as well as having his own solo album under his utility belt is a fine multi instrument mentalist having played with and on recordings by (Tex Perkins) Pete has played with every man and his dog, here’s a brief overview (Dan Sultan, Gossling) *reader has to step outside for a spot of fresh air* Josh has won a series of songwriting awards that’s also impressive Overall, this is an impressive spiel I’d say. Wouldn’t you? On your way home don’t forget to buy milk. ( get one soy or your housemate wont cook that delicious vegetable bake tomorrow night ). EP OUT JUNE 15TH!
