Bio
Sydney rough and lovable Indie-Punks Blue Velvet have quickly made a name for themselves amongst the hooligans.
Since forming in 2016, the four piece has channeled their inner rascal to shape a unique, cacophonous sound and live show, placing them as an act you can't miss.
Supporting the likes of Trophy Eyes, Turnover (US), West Thebarton & Press Club over the last year, 2018 now sees Blue Velvet full of life, love and optimism as they evolve into their next chapter.
It’s this change that they address with their new single ‘Make You Stay’ and new EP ‘A Lesson In Regression’ - an anthem for growing up. ‘A Lesson In Regression’ will release on October 19.
"This is the kind of punk band who're rough and edgy enough to fall in love with but who also seem grounded and genial enough to take home to mum." Dave Ruby-Howe, triple j Unearthed
"Combining hazy, warm guitars and raw and uncompromisingly emotional vocals, (Blue Velvet) culminate in a nostalgic, hook-laden affair that harkens towards the sounds of emo heroes Tigers Jaw, Jimmy Eat World and Title Fight." Bianca Davino - Don't Bore Us
With upcoming shows to celebrate the release of their new EP, Blue Velvet aren't a band you want to miss.

Pleasure premiering this new one ahead of its release. Lots of big, sing-a-long moments and lots of relatability. This stays close to the heart. It's a got an endearing beauty about it. LOVE THIS.
