Bio

The Bluebottles are a Far North Queensland duo comprised of school mates Connor Wright and Oliver Haug. A move to Brisbane in 2017 found the boys both studying at the University of Queensland, all the while fostering a love of song writing. Habits of procrastination found the pair recording demos in their college dormitory rooms.

A recording session at AirLock studios supported by Ian Haug (Powderfinger, The Church) in early 2019 has given the Bluebottles a chance to develop their sound. Inspiration from British group Catfish & The Bottlemen, and guitar virtuoso John Mayer has come together for a captivating, yet relaxed blend of alternative pop rock and blues.

It’s still early days for The Bluebottles, but they have high hopes for what‘s to come.
