About
<strong>Blyolk</strong> has always been attracted to the outsiders in pop. Those who take what is standard and push for something more. An affinity for artists like Beck, St Vincent, Grimes as well as contemporaries Superorganism and Mura Masa, firmly place Blyolk (pronounced ‘bloke’) in the world of warped pop. Melding sticky pop melodies, heavy beats, synth-inspired guitar, psychedelic inspired samples, the result is as familiar as it is future-facing. After three well received singles <strong><em>‘Shun The Sun Because I Don't Breathe Youth’</strong></em>, <strong><em>‘Artshole’</strong></em> and <strong><em>‘Don Wowry’</strong></em> and his first sold out headline show in 2018, the Melbourne producer/songwriter mostly withdrew for the year to write and record. Blyolk returns in 2019 with <strong><em>’Dogspeed’</strong></em>, his most intense and introspective release yet.
