Sydney-bred producer Bo Jo Jones brings a new flair to the art of producing, weaving through vinyl cuts laced with "a real Inner West influence... industrial, mechanical sounds that echoes of warehouses and grinding machinery" (Happy Mag). After spending the last year carving out upwards of 300 beats, Bo Jo has developed a sound rooted in classic hip-hop akin to DJ Paul, Guru, and Q-Tip whilst drawing inspiration from modern acts like Injury Reserve, Thundercat, and Kwes Darko. 2019 marked the release of debut collaborations with Charlotte-based rapper Q. Phife as well as Sydney locals Beggar and The Great Lummox. Each project showcases a unique approach, with instrumentals that recall "RZA’s dark and abrasive production" (CLIPPED.TV), paint melancholic and druggy landscapes and weave through "a shared space between laid back nineties hip hop and straight jazz" (Backyard Opera).
