After surgery at the Royal Children’s Hospital stopped him playing sports Bobby picked up the guitar and by the age of sixteen he had already played to crowds of thousands at music festivals, released two E.Ps and had a music video feature twice on Channel Ten.
Bobby then moved to Melbourne to study a Bachelor Degree of Music while playing in a variety of bands, music videos and even a live show on Channel 31.
Back home to the beaches of FNQ and Bobby Maguire performed live on Balcony TV before releasing his evocative new single ‘Breathe’ achieving airplay on Triple R, reviews in NQ Music press, Skope Mag and much more.
2017 saw Bobby test his talent for theatre as ‘The Muso’ in Audrey Cuttlebuttle’s Great Bally Hooley Escape which ran eighteen successful shows over Port Douglas Carnivale. Bobby composed and played the entire score for this daring production hosted on and around a moving train.
Between writing and producing new music and videos Bobby Maguire has played shows in the French Alps, the English Riviera and supported The Cat Empire for the 2018 Commonwealth Games Festival. Bobby performs acoustically and as a multi-instrument looping, one-man-band wowing audiences with his infectious songs and magnetic stage presence.
