Bio

Boydos is thrilled to release his debut album It's Alright, Look At Me I'm Young!

In celebration of the release, Boydos has unveiled yet another tongue-in-cheek video for his latest single, Left Hand, directed by Boydos and Matt Maule.

The hospitality industry is a petri dish for wasted talent. It teems with disaffected artists, waiting for the hangover to end and the adulation to start. Eddie Boyd understands that kind of groundhog day. Between tours, he’s a “glorified kitchenhand, but I get to wear the chef shirt”. It’s the sort of gallows humour that could come straight out of his lyrics.

He’s the fly on the wall of the gig economy of Sydney’s Inner West, delivering the observations of Kurt Vile and Lou Reed with a dose of adrenalin. It’s beautifully gritty and contagiously agitated.

"It’s rambling, reckless, and utterly addictive."- The Music

Strong one from Boydos. If you remember some of those brooding rock tracks from Jeff Buckley then you might hear a similar strain running through here.

"opened up my netbank, money's such a headache, hopefully my gf she can help me with the rent". feeling that one boydos. it's a rambling stomper that really gels by the end.

Seen this chap in a few great Sydney bands (including a stint in Julia Jacklin's live outfit) over the years and call myself a fan of everything he does. This new project is no exception with a debut track that's all swagger and shake, ending in a swell of yearning disorder.
