Bio

The Boys are an Australian rock outfit, currently based in Brisbane. Previously recording and releasing a self titled AAA side, they have supported national and international artists, as well as playing alongside such acts as DZ Deathrays, Millions, Gung Ho, The BellRays, Blonde on Blonde & The Cairos and also performing at festivals such as Ric’s Big Backyard, Valley Fiesta, LadyFest and Valley Vibes. After taking a hiatus to develop new material, the band is back as a five piece, with new members and a new sonic aesthetic. Strongly influenced by movements including new wave, post-rock and psychedelia, the band's new sound is an amalgamation of retro influences with a modern twist. The Boys are characterised by dark atmospheric melodies, emotive vocals and punchy rhythmic frameworks encapsulated by visceral live performances. After pursuing various career paths during their hiatus including rap side projects and running for political office, the band is back to do what they do best...
