BREAKAWAY are a 5-piece, Sydney-based rock band formed in 2012. Since the band’s formation they have released their debut EP ‘One Minute | One Moment’ (2012) and debut LP ‘The Light that Keeps Me awake’ (2017) recorded by Dave Petrovic, Stevie Knight and Rich Mammoliti at Electric Sun Studios. The EP has seen over 30,000 downloads/ purchases in total and their YouTube channel has collected over 1,500,000 views plus 10,000,000 views on fan uploaded content. Since their album release they have reached over 10,000,000 streams on Spotify alone with over 60,000 monthly listeners.

The band has been featured on various platforms including heightened success with TV airplay on RAGE and MTV most wanted music playlist. Alternative press, Blunt magazine, Pure volume, and a number of online content providers have included Breakaway in their articles with positive reviews and feedback on their releases.

Breakaway have toured around Australia with the likes of Taking Back Sunday, The Used, Anberlin, Switchfoot, Flyleaf, The Almost, Hands Like Houses, With Confidence, As it is, and they have definitely earned their Australian touring stripes and are holding themselves to such expectations.
