BrokenWord is the brainchild of brothers; Alex (Alibi) and Max Anderson, and one of their close childhood friends Brendon Stace (Stas). All accomplished song writers in their own right the group formed in 2010 and has not looked back since. Their long friendship has been the basis for the charismatic chemistry that has developed in their song writing and especially in their live performances. With an attitude that good music should not be restrained by genre or stereotypes, they are never afraid to push the boundaries and this is evident in their music. Their debut album “set it free” released in 2011 ranges from the traditional Hip Hop styles of “I Don’t Mind”, to the rock infused “Brain Explosion”, and the R & B inspired “Sky Will Fall”. The bedrock of the album is the strength of the lyrics, with a raw honesty evident throughout; especially on some of the more thought provoking tracks such as “Blood ...
