About
Adelaide Folk musician, Kelly Breuer (aka The Brouhaha) is all about the ‘Feelgood’ side of life. With achingly soulful vocals her uplifting music is more than a simple band-aid to the blues. In 2012/13 The Brouhaha and Margo (her faithful Tarago) travelled The East Coast extensively in addition to a string of supports including Clare Bowditch, Mia Dyson, Liz Stringer, Sarah Mcleod, Jen Cloher and Wes Carr. Her first single garnered Triple J and ABC radio play and became a community radio hit airing at #3 on the AMRAP Airplay Chart before the solo artist hit burnout. Such a massive undertaking took its toll and Beaumont experienced symptoms such as fatigue, weight gain, anxiety and depression. As a child Breuer’s father was a banker whose work frequently required the family to transfer around regional areas of Australia.
