10 saw the Buegs hit the Melbourne live music scene with vigour and style. Ticking off venues like Cherry Bar, Northcote Social Club and The Tote, the boys continue to hammer out their set of angsty ballads and pop killers to audiences who demand not only a jaw dropping stage show but an adventure to frightening heights and sublime depth. The three brothers (Dan, Paul and James Ryan) with the addition of Dr Stuart Findlay have dedicated themselves to crafting an eclectic sound sometimes reminiscent of 90's grunge/ punk with a mix of folk and the sensibility of strong, timeless pop song writing. The Buegs' music is lyrically charged with conviction, lust, anger, innocence and honesty. The delivery of enchanting stories captivate audiences with rapturous bliss. The shredding guitars and infectious rhythm repeatedly leave listeners with the delicate echo of a place of yearning where the heart rules and the head reels. The Buegs are a window to a world never seen before. Recently releasing their debut single "Blindfold", launched as a split single with good friends Canos, fans have finally got a taste of what the Buegs have been getting up to in the studio; "We spent a few days down at Salt Studios with Sam Lowe (Paul Dempsey, Sarah Blasko, The Drones, Clutch etc). It's the first non-DIY recording we've done as a band and we were a little worried about handing over the controls to someone else but we're glad we did it. It was an awesome experience..." 2011 is set to see the Buegs embark on their first local tour titled "The No Excuses Tour" where the four piece will be playing almost every live music venue in Fitzroy/ Collingwood over a three month period. Planning for the launch of their second single "Orange" is under way and another trip to the studio will have the Buegs commence recording of their exciting new ep. Stay tuned...
