Bio

Shane Kingsbury a.k.a The Buried King is a 21 year old, born and bred Western Sydney boy. Shane’s passion is DJ-ing and has been for the past 3 years. After starting on programs like ‘Virtual DJ’ in his youth, Shane upgraded to his first decks to pursue his infatuation. Following a steep learning-curve of practicing at home, Shane spontaneously decided to turn his hobby into a part-time job. In such a short timeframe, you can say that Shane has come a long way! To date, The Buried King has been a resident DJ at Candy’s Apartment and “Whaat” Club in Kings Cross. His current DJ residency is with Carmen’s Nightclub at the Miranda Hotel with the local crowd, partying to his set every Saturday night. The Buried King has also kept his professional development thriving by producing his own original tracks whilst dabbling in remixing, editing, bootlegging and mashing up the tracks of others. In the interim, Shane’s is motivated to keep playing the regular club scene and continue to make a name for himself by playing for bigger and better headliners. However, in the long term, Shane desires to be a resident for a range of clubs around Sydney, having a large name in the club scene and also be nationally or internationally recognised for his own produced tracks. This boy is ambitious! One of his favourite tracks he has worked on to date has been his bootleg of Parachute Youth's track, 'Can't Get Better Than This' which gained him more success and a lot of very positive feedback amongst Australia's best club scenes, with the track being loved and featured by the likes of DJ Tigerlily, Ember, Cheap Lettus, Chris Coast, Mikki Blue and Kyro&Bomber. He even received praise from record label 'Sweat It Out Music' who the original track is signed with. Over his DJ career, The Buried King has played with/supported some of the biggest names in Australia including Alison Wonderland and Swick [Melb] (Mad Decent), Kyro&Bomber (Vamp Music), Vengeance (Vamp Music), The Mane Thing, Cunningpants, Glen Darby and more at his resident club Carmen’s Nightclub at Miranda Hotel. Electro-House and bouncy fun Dubstep is what you will be absorbing if you are dancing away to The Buried King’s sets. He prides himself on being an ‘all-rounder’, chameleon-like DJ though so be ready to hear a diversity of mixes from a variety of genres! From the well-loved club anthems to underground tunes, The Buried King has it covered. His music has been distributed on international music sites such as Tinman London and has been entered into remix competitions like the 'Dub-All Or Nothing' Remix Competition #5 with 'Revo - Freak Out (The Buried King Remix)' and took out top prize in the 'We Roll Like Madmen' Remix competition with 'Breaks (The Buried King Remix)'. REVIEWS: We Roll Like Madmen - Breaks (The Buried King Remix) "Love the chillwave style" - Kid Sample/ISLND “Loving the nice sounding synths on this one, a bit more cool stuff going on with the drums and vocals” – Blam! That summer vibe is timeless!" - Kyro&Bomber "This is really cool!" - DJ Tigerlily "Love it!" - Sweat It Out Music
