Bio

Acquainted by a mutual love of 60’s and 70’s rock n’ roll, Grace Farriss (vocals, acoustic guitar), Sean Casey (keyboards), Daniel Murchison (Electric Guitar), Tom Hoglund (bass) and Thom Eagleton (percussion), formed BURN ANTARES in 2012. Since then, they have been finely honing their sound on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, preparing their famous cups of rocket love for your auditory pleasure.

BURN ANTARES quickly established themselves as a regular on the Sydney live music scene playing gigs including Surry Hills Festival, Oddley Wholesome Festival, Sounds of the Suburbs, Yardfest, Chugg Music’s ARIA Showcase and support spots for The Growlers, The Babe Rainbow, Little Bastard and The Murlocs on national tours.

Intrigued by BURN ANTARES’ unique sound, superstar artist manager Guy Morrow (previous manager of Boy & Bear and Movement) boarded the lyrical soul train in late 2014 and is now at the helm. His expert navigation has propelled the band to new heights, whilst creating room for the band to focus on what they do best.

With their second east coast tour under their belt, the band are set to release their new EP ‘Fur Coat & the Peace Boat’ in June 2015. The product of many hours of melodic wrangling, the album was produced by the delightful music industry identity and producer Tony Buchen (The Preatures, Andy Bull, Tim Finn), and will be distributed through MGM.
